Nielsen to Launch ‘Social Content Ratings’ with Measurement Across Twitter and Facebook
Nielsen announced on Jan. 20 that it is expanding Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings to include Facebook conversation for the first time. With measurement of program-related conversation across these two social networking services at launch, and plans to integrate Instagram at a later date, Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings will become Nielsen’s “Social Content Ratings.” Nielsen’s Social Content Ratings will be the first solution to measure aggregate-level program-related conversation on Facebook and Twitter, including posts shared with friends and family, with followers, and publicly. NASA, NOAA Analyses Reveal Record-Shattering Global Warm Temperatures in 2015
Earth’s 2015 surface temperatures were the warmest since modern record keeping began in 1880, according to independent analyses by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Globally averaged temperatures in 2015 shattered the previous mark set in 2014 by 0.23 degrees Fahrenheit (0.13 Celsius). Paris Wins Back ‘Most Admired City’ From London
Paris has pushed London off the top spot to win back the number one place as the highest rated city in 2015, out of a total of 50 cities. Sydney, Australia, which had been in the top three since 2011, falls back to fourth place, overtaken by New York as well as Paris. These are the findings of the latest Anholt-GfK City Brands Index, a bi-annual study conducted in September of last year, approximately two months before the November attacks in Paris.
