Mylan Taking Immediate Action to Further Enhance Access to EpiPen Auto-Injector

Mylan N.V. on Aug. 25 announced that it is taking immediate action to further enhance access to EpiPen (epinephrine injection, USP) Auto-Injector by expanding already existing programs in recognition of those patients who are facing the burden of higher out-of-pocket costs. The company is reducing the patient cost of EpiPen Auto-Injector through the use of a savings card which will cover up to $300 for their EpiPen 2-Pak. For patients who were previously paying the full amount of the company’s list price for EpiPen, this effectively reduces their out-of-pocket cost exposure by 50%. Motor Vehicle Fatalities Up 9%; No Sign of a Decrease in 2016, Says National Safety Council

Preliminary estimates from the National Safety Council indicate motor vehicle deaths were 9% higher through the first six months of 2016 than in 2015, and 18% higher than two years ago at the six month mark. An estimated 19,100 people have been killed on U.S. roads since January – enough to fill 382 school buses – and 2.2 million were seriously injured. The total estimated cost of these deaths and injuries is $205 billion. The upward trend began in late 2014 and shows no signs of decreasing. Mobileye and Delphi to Establish Partnership for SAE Level 4/5 Automated Driving Solution for 2019

Mobileye and Delphi Automotive PLC announced on Aug. 23 a partnership to jointly develop a complete SAE Level 4/5 automated driving solution. The program will result in an end-to-end production-intent fully automated vehicle solution, with the level of performance and functional safety required for rapid integration into diverse vehicle platforms for a range of customers worldwide. Stress in the Workplace is Relative, Suggests Deloitte Study

The Deloitte Greenhouse Experience team recently completed a survey asking more than 23,000 professionals about their stress levels at work and found statistically significant variation in how respondents react to workplace stressors. Overall, the majority of respondents reported modest levels of stress. Fourteen percent reported being stressed only rarely and 57% reported being stressed sometimes, while 26% reported being stressed often, and 3% reported being always stressed.
