USA Regains Position as Top Nation Brand from Germany

After being pushed off the number one position last year by Germany, the U.S.A. has this year taken back its position at the top of the Anholt-GfK Roper Nation Brands Index (NBISM). The United Kingdom, in 3rd place, edges closer to the top and is followed by France. Further down the ranking, Ukraine and Russia achieve large reputation gains, while Greece stands alone in suffering a steep drop. The study measures global perceptions of 50 developed and developing countries – and is unmatched in the level of detail on which the nation ranking is judged. The study asks questions about 23 different national attributes, which are then combined into six overall dimensions on which the national image is based. Those are: exports, governance, culture, people, tourism, and immigration/investment. See the full release to see the complete rankings.

Nationally Syndicated Radio Host Mark Levin Donates Rare First Edition of The Federalist Papers to Hillsdale College

Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship received on Nov. 16 a rare first edition of the Federalist Papers. The document was donated to the college from the family of nationally syndicated radio talk-show host Mark R. Levin. The first edition is one of only 500 copies commissioned by Alexander Hamilton in 1787, and is now on display at the Kirby Center. “The Federalist Papers represent a great source of the political thought of America’s Founders, and the best explanation and defense of the Constitution as understood by the Founders themselves,” said Dr. Matthew Spalding, associate vice president and dean of educational programs at the Kirby Center.
