Reuters Is Creating a Convention Magazine (FishbowlDC)

Reuters will distribute a print magazine in Philadelphia and Cleveland, during the conventions next month, says FishbowlDC. The 66-page magazine will be titled The American Voter and feature content geared toward political insiders and the general public.

Facebook Dominates the News Landscape as Print Continues to Crumble (Fortune)

Two recent reports on the news business essentially have found that while print and traditional news outlets continue to wane, Facebook’s dominance is growing. Fortune reports that more than half of the consumers surveyed by the Reuters Institute said they find news via social media every week, and about 12 percent said it was their main source, with Facebook by far the largest single source. This makes Facebook’s latest referendum on news all the more unsettling.

Is Snapchat Growing Faster Than Instagram? (SocialTimes)

While growth on Instagram has slowed, Snapchat seems to grow stronger every day, SocialTimes says. Snapchat already is attracting 25 percent more new users worldwide than Instagram, and in the U.S., U.K., Brazil, France and Germany, Snapchat is growing between 63 percent and 76 percent, SocialTimes reports.
