Boeing, Iran Air Announce Agreement for 80 Airplanes

Boeing and Iran Air announced an agreement on Dec. 11 for 80 aircraft that includes 50 737 MAX 8s, 15 777-300ERs, and 15 777-9s, valued at $16.6 billion at list prices. Based on its memorandum of agreement with Iran Air announced in June, the contract was reached within the terms of the U.S. government license issued to Boeing in September. The following is a statement from NASA Administrator Charles Bolden on the passing of Sen. John Glenn: “Today, the first American to orbit the Earth, NASA astronaut and Ohio Senator John Glenn, passed away. We mourn this tremendous loss for our nation and the world. Consumers now check their smartphone more than 9 billion times per day and increasingly do so while engaged in other activities, such as watching television – with 89% of consumers reporting simultaneous use of the TV and smartphone.
