FCA US Expands Jeep Product Lineup, Adding Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and a Jeep Pickup Truck

FCA US confirmed on Jan. 8 the next phase of its industrialization plan by announcing a total $1 billion investment in plants in Michigan and Ohio, and the addition of 2,000 new American jobs. Consistent and combined with previously announced investments, FCA US is further demonstrating its commitment to strengthening its U.S. manufacturing base, and aligning U.S. capacity to extend the Jeep product lineup. In total, FCA US has committed investments of more than $9.6 billion in its U.S. manufacturing facilities and created 25,000 new jobs to date since 2009. According to the nationwide survey, conducted online by Harris Poll on behalf of CareerBuilder from Nov. 16 to Dec. 6, 2016 among more than 2,600 hiring and human resource managers, it doesn’t take long for a hiring manager to make a decision. 2017 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Winners Announced

The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt electric car, Honda Ridgeline pickup, and Chrysler Pacifica minivan were named 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year, respectively, on Jan. 9. The announcement was made at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Bolt electric car received 364 points from the jury of automotive journalists across the U.S. and Canada. The Genesis G90 sedan from Hyundai’s new luxury brand was second with 105, followed by the Volvo S90 sedan with 101. PBS NewsHour in partnership with Twitter will live stream special coverage of Inauguration Day 2017 on Twitter from 11am5pm ET on Friday, January 20, 2017. The special broadcast will be anchored by managing editor Judy Woodruff, with NewsHour correspondents John Yang reporting from the steps of the U.S. Capitol and Lisa Desjardins from the National Mall. NewsHour’s livestream will include the swearing in of the 45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump and the 48th Vice President of the United States Mike Pence on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, the Inaugural Address and Parade, and the arrival of President-elect Trump at the White House. U2: The Joshua Tree Tour 2017

Live Nation announced on Jan. 9 that U2 will return to select stadiums this year with U2: The Joshua Tree Tour 2017, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the band’s classic album. Each show will include a performance of The Joshua Tree in its entirety, with support from one of a number of special guests including Mumford & Sons, OneRepublic, and the Lumineers in North America, and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Europe.
