Pope Francis is the most followed world leader on Twitter with a combined total of 33,716,301 followers on his nine language accounts, ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump with 30,133,036 followers and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with 30,058,659 followers, according to Burson-Marsteller’s Twiplomacy study, an annual global survey of how world leaders, governments and international organizations use social media. Twitter is the prime social network used by 276 heads of state and government, and foreign ministers, in 178 countries, representing 92% of all United Nations member states.

Migration Trends: Houston Still No. 1 Destination for U-Haul Trucks

Houston remains the No. 1 U-Haul U.S. Destination City for the eighth year in a row, according to the latest U-Haul migration trends report. While Houston witnessed a 3.4% decline in 2016 arrivals compared to 2015, it continued to be the busiest domestic market for incoming U-Haul trucks. Following Houston in the destination rankings are Chicago, San Antonio, Orlando, and Austin. Rounding out the top 10 are Las Vegas, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Charlotte.

Early science results from NASA’s Juno mission to Jupiter portray the largest planet in our solar system as a complex, gigantic, turbulent world, with Earth-sized polar cyclones; plunging storm systems that travel deep into the heart of the gas giant; and a mammoth, lumpy magnetic field that may indicate it was generated closer to the planet’s surface than previously thought. “We are excited to share these early discoveries, which help us better understand what makes Jupiter so fascinating,” said Diane Brown, Juno program executive at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “It was a long trip to get to Jupiter, but these first results already demonstrate it was well worth the journey.”

San Francisco Retains Top Spot in A.T. Kearney Global City Outlook

For the third consecutive year, global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney on May 31 named San Francisco as the leading city in the firm’s annual Global Cities Outlook. In the Global Cities Index, New York regained the top spot from London. Taken together, the Global Cities Outlook and Global Cities Index comprise Global Cities 2017. “The Outlook and Index provide a compelling look at 128 of the world’s leading cities, as well as those that are poised to make a significant impact,” said Mike Hales, A.T. Kearney partner and co-leader of the study.
