I don’t know about you, but I’ve put on a few pounds since I started working from home in March. Now that we’ve made it to December and the heavy eating of Thanksgiving is behind us, I’m sure we can all agree that it’s time to start getting our plan together for Christmas and the new year.
Not only are we in need of a fresh emotional start due to the events of 2020, but we could also use some guidance on how to eat better. Some are also in search of fitness tips and tricks to get ready for the new year and the new us.
Here are a few blogs that are great motivation.

The part of being fit that I have the most difficulty with is eating well and portion control. Getting to workouts, running several times a week, and maintaining a relatively active lifestyle comes easy, but I can’t help but binge eat or give in to cravings.
Eleat Sports Nutrition is a good resource for those who need some guidance on what to eat and when to eat it. Created by Angie Asche, a sports dietician and nutritionist, the content on this site is relatable and helps readers set realistic goals.
The recipe section is categorized by relevancy, so if you want to know how to lose weight or are looking for dietary-restrictive-friendly options, you’ll find what you need. The blog skips the long intros of traditional recipe sites and gets straight to the point.

2. Found My Fitness
Found My Fitness is run by Dr. Rhonda Patrick and I couldn’t be more excited to highlight this individual as I’ve personally been positively impacted by her research and lectures.
If you want to understand how nutrition from the foods you eat makes its way into your body, this is the site for you. You’ll get solid advice on how to eat and get fit in a practical and scientifically-based way.
The site itself takes a look at different sources of nutrition, the impacts these things have on your body, and the best way to source them. And Dr. Patrick practices what she preaches.

One of the most difficult parts of endurance sports like running, swimming, or cycling is learning how to best fuel your body to guarantee the maximum output.
Endurance Sports Nutritionist is a blog that guides endurance athletes by telling them the best practices of what to eat, when to eat it, and how much to eat. The site is broken down to make it as accessible and comprehensive as possible for anyone who wants to give it a try.
