Adele announces Weekends With Adele, an exclusive residency in the Colosseum of Las Vegas’ famed Caesars Palace Hotel beginning Friday, Jan. 21, 2022. The global superstar will perform two shows each weekend through Saturday, April 16, 2022. This announcement comes on the heels of Adele recently releasing her fourth studio album 30 on Columbia Records. The album is being heralded by fans and critics alike as Adele’s boldest and most ambitious album yet. 30 debuted at #1 on album charts in 30 countries and is already one of the biggest selling albums of 2021.
Jack Dorsey Steps Down as Twitter CEO, Board Unanimously Appoints CTO Parag Agrawal as Successor
Twitter Inc. today (Nov. 29) announced that Jack Dorsey has decided to step down as chief executive officer and that the board has unanimously appointed Parag Agrawal as CEO and a member of the board, effective immediately. Dorsey will remain a member of the board until his term expires at the 2022 meeting of stockholders. Bret Taylor was named the new chairman of the board, succeeding Patrick Pichette who will remain on the board and continue to serve as chair of the audit committee.

Capital One Eliminates Overdraft Fees for All Consumer Banking Customers
Today (Dec. 1), Capital One announced it will completely eliminate all overdraft fees and non-sufficient fund (NSF) fees for its consumer banking customers. Capital One will continue to provide free overdraft protection.
Capital One is America’s 6th-largest retail bank and the only top-10 retail bank to make this move for all of its consumer bank products.

United today (Dec. 1) will operate an unprecedented flight that will serve as a turning point in the industry’s effort to combat climate change: for the first time in aviation history, a commercial carrier will fly an aircraft full of passengers using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Also today, United announced the second round of corporate participants in the airline’s Eco-Skies AllianceSM program to collectively contribute towards the purchase of SAF.

ViacomCBS to Sell CBS Studio Center for $1.85 Billion
ViacomCBS Inc. today (Nov. 30) announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell CBS Studio Center and its associated operating business to a partnership formed by Hackman Capital Partners, LLC and Square Mile Capital Management, LLC for approximately $1.85 billion. The transaction is the result of a widely marketed sale process, which attracted interest from a number of buyers, reflecting the value of CBS Studio Center as a best-in-class studio lot in the highly competitive Los Angeles studio marketplace.
The property sits on a 55-gross-acre site in Studio City and consists of over 1 million square feet of space, including 22 stages, production office and support buildings, third-party tenant offices, a purpose-built broadcast center, and filmable backlot locations.
