Welcome to Blog Profiles! Each week, PR Newswire selects an industry or subject and a handful of sites that do a good job promoting, contributing, and blogging about it. Do you have a blog that deserves recognition? Tell PR Newswire audience relations manager Christine Cube why on PR Newswire for Bloggers.

Knock, knock

Who’s there?

Police

Police who?

Police stop knocking at my door!

What I had originally planned for this week’s feature was sort of bringing me down so I started looking at some bloggers who make me laugh. Counting on everyone else feeling the same way as I do, I’m sharing some of the blogs I like as well as two I discovered.

I’ve been known to be a bit passive aggressive and have thought about writing a note to someone who has especially irritated me. Luckily, I’m a little lazy and the feeling usually passes before I write (or say) anything. Passive Aggressive Notes is a collection of those notes I have not written and have been submitted by pissed-off people all over the world.

Not sure why this funny note about playing Angry Birds is called Candy CRUSHED, but I don’t think the person caught playing it will find it as funny.

My biggest pet peeves are men who get off the elevator before women and the handicap and adults who are unable to use their nice words. It’s good to know that I’m not alone and this submission is very close to what I’d like to say to those who don’t use their manners. Not cleaning up after themselves is probably a close second but this submission about littering is from the person doing the littering. Not sure just how passive aggressive it is since he invites the litter bug to come talk to him.

Brittany Gibbons is Brittany Herself and besides writing a New York Times Bestseller, she is an award-winning blogger, comedian, wife, and mom.

In May, she appeared on Dr. Oz to talk about positive body image and was attacked online for being who she is – a witty, plus-size woman who happens to be inspiring. Her response to the backlash is fantastic in Fat Girl Job Clarification.

I’m one of those parents who overshare what we are doing on social media. I over share because a lot of our family is out-of-town and I blog about local events, of course I’m going to share that. However, even I can see how the constant parade of pictures from new parents can be irksome. Brittany had me in tears when she wrote about her accomplishments now that she is 408 months old.

Pleated Jeans is written and created by Jeff Wysaski and he makes funny Original Content for a living or at least that is what his bio said. After looking over post over post of laugh-out-loud content — I must agree. He has a warped sense of humor, and I mean that in the best possible way. I really encourage everyone to just scroll through Original Content because I can’t pick one or two posts to feature, they are all really funny.

Of course, if I had to pick two they’d be: I Left These Shopping Tips at a Local Grocery Store and 16 Funny Signs From Obvious Plant.

I would never be able to meet The Bloggess in person because I’ve been in awe of her ever since she got Wil Wheaton to send her a picture of him collating papers. If I meet Jenny Lawson, I would probably stumble over my words and not because she is a celebrity or an author but because I have anxiety issues.

That said, if anyone understood why I will never meet her at a conference it would be her. Jenny’s post, of conferences and anxiety disorders, explains it perfectly and has inspired me to attend my first conference.

Jenny’s new book, Furiously Happy, comes out next month and the cover features an over excited raccoon. Her publishing company created cardboard cutouts to promote it named Rory. Jenny shares photos of the little guy out and about from her adventures as well as other bloggers and is also encouraging her readers to submit photos of Rory the Raccoon in their neighborhood. I’m looking forward to the book as well as where Rory goes over the next few months.
